We also provide Audit Protection. If you are audited by the CRA, we provide up to 4 hours of assistance defending your return with the CRA on your behalf, reviewing the tax documents for issues, and working to minimize the financial impact. Learn more

How do you keep my information safe?
The security of your information is a top priority at FileSimple. Our staff is regularly trained on cyber security, and always prioritize the secruity of your information.
We store your files on a secure server using the same encryption as banks and your information is stored in Canada.
You’re in control of your information - at your request we will securely remove all of your data from our storage (see
Terms of Service).

How are your prices so low?
FileSimple strives to give you the best experience at the best price. We don’t have large overhead costs or physical locations to maintain like the other guys. And - we pass these savings directly to you!
How is my price determined?
After assessing your tax situation, your Tax Expert will use the number of tax documents to find your applicable category in our pricing table. These categories are based on the number of tax documents which approximates the time it will take to complete your return.
In general, up to 2 tax documents is Basic ($39), 3-4 documents is Standard ($79), and 5-6 is Advanced ($99). Self-Employed starts at $149. Certain tax situations require extended work which is billed hourly, if applicable you will be informed in advance.

Do I have to use video chat?
No. Our Tax Experts are more than happy to communicate over video, but you can choose to use audio only or even call in from your phone. Learn more about our virtual meetings
